SUMMER 2008
As
summer slowly begins to settle in, Rane prepares
to take some time off from gigging to finish writing
the new tunes for their next full length album due
out later this year. The band will play its last
scheduled show at the Main Pub in Manchester, CT
on Friday, May 16th. Rane will play two sets of music,
interlacing older rane classics with new material.
Cover is $7 and the show starts at 9:30pm with local
acoustic opener The
Brothers Donovan.
In
July, members of Rane and the Bill
Carleton Band will converge on the tiny island of Virgin Gorda
in the British Virgin Islands to perform at the Rock
Café on
Thursday, July 3rd. This will be a special acoustic
show to celebrate Alan’s wedding. This will
be the first time the band members have performed
outside of the United States together and it promise
to not be the last.
Upon
returning from the islands in July, the band will
begin tracking the music for their next full length
album. At this time the album remains untitled, but
new tunes are emerging daily. Check the website later
this summer for leaks of the new music…………….
Have
a fantastic summer, stay out of trouble, worship
the sun and let your self come undone.
